About

Hi, I'm Gonzalo
People Leader, builder, and professor. I studied Law and Business Administration at Universidad de Oviedo, and specialized in HR at UC3M — though the most important things I learned along the way.
My journey
My career has always revolved around people and organizations: from international recruiting at Axalta, to GTM hiring at Jobandtalent, to building the entire People function from scratch at Besana Energía (formerly Samara) — scaling the team from 14 to over 160 people, living through a full rebrand and a strategic pivot along the way.
Three and a half years later, I've just closed that chapter with a lot of pride and I'm designing what comes next.
I also teach in the MBA program at IUDE, Universidad de Oviedo, where I share what I've learned about talent, culture and organizations with the next generation of leaders.
My philosophy
I believe culture is the only competitive advantage that truly scales. That people matter more than processes — but that processes protect people. And that the best way to learn something is by doing it, even when you don't quite know how.
I consider myself an execution person. I don't stop until things happen.
